Tablets do not help, what should I do?

I have had severe allergies for 3 months now. I took a lot of medicine, pills, but nothing helps. Swollen lips, eyes, and all parts of the body. And it itches a lot. When I take pills that day it helps, but the next day I feel bad again. If I don’t drink medicine for one day, I feel very bad, I can’t breathe. In the pharmacy, they gave me an injection when I was very ill. Nothing helps me. Please tell me what should I do? How to be treated? Please help me?

Hello Anna. Allergy is a disorder of the immune system, resulting in an acute reaction of the body to harmless substances. Allergens can be food, cosmetics, household chemicals, animal hair and other substances that surround us in everyday life.

The only reliable way to get rid of allergy manifestations is to avoid contact with the allergen.

The vast majority of therapies can only eliminate the symptoms of the disease, but the real reason - the pathological reaction of the body is still not subject to correction.

In order to establish which substance is the cause of allergic reactions, it is necessary to carry out special diagnostic measures. The choice of which is carried out by the attending physician, based on the data obtained during a direct interview with the patient. Allergies should also be treated exclusively by your doctor. Allergy medications have side effects, so self-medication can be not only unproductive, but also dangerous to health. You need an urgent appointment with an allergist, because prolonged exposure to the allergen aggravates the condition of the disease.
