Nowadays, it is necessary to be extremely careful when choosing cosmetics. Many drugs today contain a large number of chemical compounds that are unsafe for health.
Cosmetologists advise using creams for the face and body with the simplest formulas, as well as a thorough revision of cosmetics available at home.
What to look out for
Avoid strong fragrances and fragrances.
The Fragrance label in your product is a combination of dozens of chemicals, including harmful phthalates, ethylene oxide and other components that the manufacturer does not disclose. Experts advise replacing cosmetics with artificial flavors with fragrance-free products or those that use natural essential oils. For example, cosmetics of domestic production and cosmetics from Belarus are made on the basis of natural oils.
Don't trust labels. The inscription "natural product" or "organic" is often nothing more than a marketing ploy. Most likely, in smaller print, you will read in the composition “contains natural ingredients”, which, among other chemicals, are present in the composition of the product.
Avoid products that say the following: PEG, DMDM, TEA.
Any products with parabens, triclosan, hydroquinone and oxybenzone, as well as the “-eth” ending.
Limit the use of cosmetic products that are potentially hazardous to use : creams with AHA and BHA acids, detergents with triclocarban, nail polishes with formaldehyde, toluene and butyl paraben, hair dyes with nonylphenol, gels and hair styling products with isobutane or 1 ,3-butadiene.
Already these "chemical" names should cause alertness. Very expensive face creams do not mean that they do not contain harmful substances. You should not blindly trust the promoted brand. And if you are focusing on the naturalness of products, always study the label, regardless of how well-known the brand offers it to you.
At the same time, skin care products such as Belita cosmetics and other budget brands made in Belarus can be an excellent alternative to imported analogues.
It should also be taken into account that the cost of foreign cosmetics already includes the costs of advertising, expensive packaging and transportation, and the cost of production can be many times lower than the price of domestic cosmetics.
