Allergy to sweets in a child: how to treat

It's no secret that all children are just terrible sweet tooth. Many parents try to indulge their children with various goodies as often as possible. But at the same time, they do not think about the consequences of such a manifestation of love.

Moms simply do not know what to do when a child has an allergic reaction to any of the foods.
And God forbid that the child "earned" an allergy to sweets. After all, how to explain to the baby that he can no longer eat goodies? After all, it is forbidden to drink even sweet tea. And children regard such actions of parents as a punishment for wrongdoing and disobedience. Very often, allergies occur in infants, since so many foods are forbidden to them.
In such cases, the mother should limit herself in food. Namely: exclude citrus fruits, honey, fruits, berries, etc. from the diet. But the problem is that parents, as a rule, notice allergies already at a rather advanced stage.

Sweet allergy symptoms

Very often, parents confuse allergies with diathesis. It is with this concept that parents explain all the rashes on the child's skin, without attaching much importance to it. The product itself does not cause allergies. Namely, the process of fermentation of products, in which sucrose takes part and causes allergic manifestations. And it is as a result of this fermentation that toxins are released in the body, which appear on the body of the child. Manifestations of allergies to sweets are individual for each child. But there are also the main signs inherent in all:

  • Peeling on the cheeks;
  • redness;
  • Rash on the body;
  • Stomatitis;
  • Bronchospasm.

But, unfortunately, parents rarely pay attention to these signs.

In the next stage, more serious symptoms appear, such as shortness of breath and swelling. This is where the panic begins among parents. Allergic manifestations cause terrible discomfort in children. The rash causes itching over the body, which can turn into a chronic reaction of the body.

Allergen products

Allergy can occur not only to harmful sweets and bakery products, but also to vital fruits with berries, rich in vitamins. As a rule, the rash appears on red and orange fruits. Such as strawberries, raspberries, oranges. Most often, allergies occur on products that contain sucrose. It's all confectionery.

Replacing sucrose with a seemingly natural product with honey, parents are making a big mistake! Since honey contains plant pollen, an allergy to which will occur instantly. The use of honey can only be allowed by a doctor who, during the diagnosis, will make sure that the child does not have intolerance to it.

This is where parental commitment is important. It is important to monitor the child, for his every step, so that he does not accidentally eat something. And even more so with the onset of summer! Various berries simply beckon them with their attractiveness. And until the child realizes the seriousness of the situation, he needs an eye and an eye. After all, even a small currant berry can lead to anaphylactic shock.

But a complete rejection of sweets can lead to sudden mood swings, the child becomes nervous, irritable. Glucose is necessary for the body, whatever one may say. And especially for a child with an immature immune system.

Allergy treatment

If the above symptoms are detected, sweets should be completely excluded from the child's diet. Be sure to contact the doctors. Only a doctor will prescribe a set of tests to determine the causes of an allergic reaction and its further treatment. If an allergen product is identified during the diagnosis, then only this product is excluded. The treatment for allergies is to accustom the body to this product, and not to exclude it from the diet forever. This is achieved by introducing small portions of allergens into the body.

Detoxification therapy is also an effective way. At the same time, polysorbs are used, which remove toxins from the child's body. Polysorb is a preparation based on natural silicon, which has an excellent property of cleansing and removing various toxins and harmful substances from the body. This drug is not absorbed into the blood and therefore has no side effects, which is the main indicator for use by both children and adults.

We all understand perfectly well that it is impossible to follow every step of the child. And if he still ate an allergen product, then you should immediately give him a silicon-containing preparation in order to avoid consequences.

It should be noted that the healing process is long enough and requires a lot of effort and patience.
Doctors, in order to somehow make life easier for children, prescribe the following drugs:

  • Ointments for skin allergies;
  • Antihistamines that eliminate itching and prevent a rash from developing (Zyrtec, Tavegil, Suprastin);
  • Sorbents - to remove toxins from the body.

But still, drug treatment of allergies to sweets is rarely used in medicine.
It is much more difficult to rid a child of an allergy than an adult. This is due to the fact that the child does not understand his problem and it is extremely difficult for him to refuse to eat sweets or an orange. But if you start treatment from childhood, then with age you can recover from it.
